Notes on the examination March 11. 2012

Just a heads up on what will happen Sunday.

First,    MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR INDEX AND EXAMINATION CARD WITH YOU!!!!!

If you forget either it will be up to you to arrange receiving your signature.

There will be two separate tests.

The first will cover the Hofstede materials. This includes the following:

Theoretical preliminaries

Power Distance

Individualism

Masculinity

Uncertainty Avoidance

Long Term Orientation

Politics and Ideas

The second test will cover the rest of the materials, this can be roughly divided into two sections, the first is materials based on the work of Suzette Haden Elgin.

Satir modes

Body language

Matching realities

The second section is everything else (miscellaneous)

New Dating Game (PUA's)

Deafness language and culture

They really are out to get you (conspiracy theories)

Interesting Ideas from the internet

Both tests are open book (you can have your notes and materials with you). But you may not share materials (if you forget your materials then sorry, you're out of luck). You can find links to download all the materials on this blog.

If any of the links aren't working then let me know (by Friday night).

There will be two separate version of each test (so that the person on each side of you has a different test than you do. The two test versions are graded separately. Your grade will be an average of both of your tests.

After you've taken both tests you will have a free hour or hour and a half or so while I calculate the grades. I will sign your indexes and return them to you at around 13.30 (maybe earlier but no promises).
